posted by modern mama on Wednesday Sep 10, 2008 under fashion, generalthis is a quote from the uber modern mama herself - sarah jessica parker regarding her BITTEN line, where all clothing in the collection are under $20 each. i personally have not been to the store nor seen the clothing firsthand so cannot comment on the quality or craftsmanship, but from the website, it may be worth the drive. i am posting this mini-blog in response to a few mamas who have inquired about where to find fabulous clothes that are BOTH affordable AND fashionable. for more on this topic, please see the comments section of the ‘playing the field‘ blog.

I have been to this store and the clothes are really cute for tweens and college kids I think. There are a few pieces that you can mix into your work wardrobe and for the price, it doesn’t matter if the quality isn’t ‘couture-like’ whatever that is. It is hard to find fashion that fits and is appropriate for moms so I like your advice and style.

It is really hard to find fashions for moms without spending a lot or having to spend a lot of time maintaining your clothes. I am very wash and wear and don’t have a lot of time or money to burn. I really like your posts and will try to break out of the sweats and t-shirt look all the time!
